Making Life Great Outdoors – Monday 9th
Happy Explorer & Soul Adventures are joining up with Isle Listen to mark Mental Health Awareness week with an adventure in the forest!
Andy and Kate believe that every child should have an opportunity to explore and discover the outdoors, while challenging their abilities to build resilience.
There are numerous benefit to being outdoors, especially around trees. For instance, being in a forest provides a calm environment that engages a child’s senses, which research shows can help them focus better, feel more confident, experience less anxiety, and be more empathetic.
Nobody ever walked away from a forest walk/adventure feeling worse than when they arrived – the power of the outdoors is amazing!
The event is free to any child aged 5 – 11 years (1 parent/carer must remain present during the session with the child).
The adventure will involve a 45 min walk through the forest with some bat detecting; a hunt for a secret rope swing; identify some nature; listening to the magical sounds of the forest; eating marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate and making new friends!
