Are the approaching winter months and cost of living increases affecting your wellbeing?
September 15, 2022
Increases in energy costs and food prices is impacting many households’ finances, and concerns that this will only get worse through the winter are a constant in the headlines and in people’s minds. The winter is already a difficult time for many, with the changing seasons and shorter days, and poor financial wellbeing only makes things harder.
Poor mental health and concerns about our financial situation can lead to feelings of embarrassment or shame, we feel a loss of control and may feel stuck in a negative loop. This can impact our mental and physical health, our relationships, and our job performance.
Whilst we can’t control many of the challenges around us, there are still things you can do to protect your mental health and wellbeing.
As part of our commitment to support the mental health and wellbeing needs of our community, we are running two courses specifically in response to the increased pressures of winter, and an increase in those struggling with poor financial wellbeing.
A short course identifying the impact that Winter has on us with techniques and strategies to combat it.
